Being in Tune or Playing in Tune? Piccolo Advice and Tips

For my blog this week, I wanted to focus on the piccolo and playing the piccolo. Piccolo is such a challenging instrument for many reasons, but one of the reasons that many people (band directors included) get frustrated with performing on piccolo is its tuning and intonation.
I could talk forever about many different strategies and tactics on practicing, playing, and performing piccolo, but I would first like to leave this uplifting article for all the budding piccoloists out there. There are so many factors that go into the playing of piccolo, and you can't always be so critical and feel down about your playing.
